Day 3 - Museum

I took the guided tour at Auckland museum - learn more about the Maoris and how when and where they came from - example above of the type of vessel used.  Apaprently they found NZ becuase of the cloud formations - they are different over land and sea - so they knew there was land here . . . A fascinating tour touching on all sorts of interesting facts about NZ history to which I was ignorant - NZ soldiers in the Boer war; Maori wars etc.,

As part of my tour attended Maori dancing / singing demo - large replica of Maori meeting place Marea within museum - which was the assembly point for the performance.

I took a slow walk down Parnell Rd - which had a lot of interesting shops and restaurants.

Ended the evening at James - my brothers place - for dinner
